Adventure, Culture, Love

Eleven days for two: a sunrise balloon over Sigiriya, a champagne picnic in the ruins at Polonnaruwa, a hillside villa in Kandy and three nights on a private beach at Tangalle.

Overview

Eleven days built for two people, not a group

For couples who believe that true romance is found in shared adventures and exploring new cultures, the Adventure, Culture, Love itinerary offers a beautifully balanced route across the island. The journey begins with a spectacular, exclusive experience in the skies above Sigiriya.

Waking up before dawn, you travel to a launch field where a massive hot air balloon is gently inflated. Stepping into the basket together, you rise smoothly into the cool morning air as the sun breaks over the eastern horizon. The landscape below is a breathtaking canvas of green forests, ancient lakes, and the dramatic stone citadel of Sigiriya rising through the morning mist. Holding hands as you drift silently above the world, the absolute quiet is interrupted only by the occasional roar of the burner, a memory that text can never fully capture.

The romantic story transitions from the air to the mountains of Kandy. Here, the air is cooler and fresher, carrying the scent of tropical flowers and mountain pines. You find yourselves staying in a luxury boutique villa hidden away on a steep hillside overlooking the valley. In the evening, a private table is set for you on an isolated deck surrounded by thousands of twinkling lights from the town below. The air is crisp, requiring a light wrap as you enjoy a gourmet candlelit dinner curated by your private chef, the sound of traditional music playing softly in the distance.

The ultimate conclusion to your honeymoon unfolds along the southern coast of Tangalle. The environment here is the definition of tropical romance—a wild, uncrowded beach where massive granite rocks frame quiet coves of golden sand. Your private villa features an infinity pool that looks out directly over the crashing waves of the ocean. On your final night, a path of fire torches leads you to a private table set right on the sand, just steps from the water. Sitting together beneath a vast sky filled with brilliant stars, the warm ocean breeze blowing through the palms, you toast to your future, summarizing a perfect journey of shared adventure and love.
